Ocean and Plants

14 01 2013

Yesterday I spent a big part of the day checking out the beaches close to Hilo, as did many local families since it was a Sunday. High winds and big waves weren’t good for snorkeling, but great for watching and taking photos.

I’ve also been amazed by the variety and size of the plants, flowers and fruits. The first photo might be ulu or breadfruit, each at least a foot long. Very strange.
